Privacy policy

What we collect

When you request an API key, we collect your email and location (city and country). When you call the API, we process the artifacts you submit (URLs, payees, messages) to produce verdicts and improve our reputation graph.

How we use it

• To issue and support your API key
• To operate the verification service and cache repeat artifacts
• To send occasional product updates (you can opt out by replying to any email)

Signup is handled by Better Auth; your email and location are stored in our Postgres database as part of your user record.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal information
• We don't use signup data for advertising
• We don't publish your email or location

Retention

Signup records are kept while you have an active relationship with Faro. API artifacts are stored as normalized nodes (e.g. a domain, not every full URL string) to power reputation lookups. Account data is managed via Better Auth.
